Slick
At last, Austin is getting some much needed wet weather! hopefully there are more rainy days to come. In the meantime, some reflective photos:
Of course, a little rain allows the photographer, the sky, telephone pole wires, or whatever else hovers above to enter into the picture....

Participate
....even if you don't live in Austin, you likely own a camera (or a pencil, recording device, etc) and tread upon interesting surfaces daily. So why not share? Credit will be given, along with a link to your site if you have one. (or not....if you prefer anonymity...we respect that).
And thinking longer term...more analog and less digital, Austin Sidewalks is hoping to curate a group show. M i x e d media for sure. Jury and Location TBD. More details to come.
Email your submissions/ideas and/or inquiries to austinsidewalks@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Ann

Holly Street Stencils
Holly isn't really the epicenter of stenciling in East Austin, but if you look, there are a few.
This first one remains unidentifiable to me....it reminds me of a witch on a broom....but not quite. ideas?

:::::::::::: 1000 Steps
Submission #1

Map
"1,000 Steps. SF just completed installing steps of pressure-treated Douglas Fir on a trail that wends from in the Presidio across Lincoln all the way down to the beach, just under the Golden Gate Bridge. So, I took my camera and hiked over there to check it out. It's all still so brand new. The path, for those interested is officially called the Immigrant Point/Coastal Connector Trail, it goes by all the Bunkers, and there are benches where you can stop to enjoy the view. Or just get all the way down to the bottom at the beach, and strip down. There were some nudies down there." Sawsee
